The Great blue Turaco is a very unique wrap design and only few pieces are made. The warp is inspired by the beautiful majestic Turaco bird native to Uganda. The Turaco birds have stunning blue and green feathers melting into different shades of soft earthy colors. The warp of this wrap is a medley of earthy colors melting into beautiful bright and deep green shades. The weft consist of color blocks in beautiful green and blue shades slowly mixing with more earthy shades of golden and soft violet. The changing weft colors combined with the ever changing twill patterns makes the wrap seem almost alive – just like when the beautiful bird are flying over the Savannah. Through out the wrap are beautiful artistic inlays of handspun organic natural cotton. One very special piece has several clasp weft in red and rust nuances symbolizing the finer details of the wings and the head of this stunning bird!
