Heavy Seas of Love – The most unique and meaningful wrap we’ve ever designed. Filled with endless details; a true piece of woven art and our first release of the new ‘ladder’ technique.

The warp is designed in a stunning graduation flowing from shades of ocean and warm blue into a medley of natural, golden, olive, copper and burned earth shades with hints of golden warm curry. The weft is a warm golden shade providing the wrap with a light contrast and an airy and light appearance. The wrap has several hand spun organic inlays meticulously woven into the wrap. The inlays are placed in minimalist lines as well as artisan shapes of mountains in different shades of khaki, natural and blue. Each wrap also has several clasp weft in beautiful shapes following the flow of the wrap.

This piece has ladders at each tail. Ladders are ‘gaps’ in the fabric creating a beautiful finish in handwoven fabrics. Ladders are created by meticulously hand stitching each side of the fabric using hem stitch. It is a very slow and time consuming process and this is our first ever design with ladders.

The pattern is a complex and intriguing crackle weave design giving the wrap a perfect grip with a little bounce and lots of great support. It feels medium in hand making it very easy to wrap while providing excellent support. It becomes soft very quickly and is perfect for both smaller babies, larger toddlers and pre-schoolers.
